Dr. Amy Sova, DC, MS, is a chiropractor with a strong focus on whole-body wellness and nervous system optimization. She earned both her Doctor of Chiropractic and Master’s in Neuroscience from Parker University, where she developed a deep understanding of how brain function and physical movement work together to support lifelong health.
Top Of Her Class:
During her highly sought-after residency at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Wilmington, NC, Amy trained in integrative care alongside medical doctors, physical therapists, and other specialists. This experience gave her unique insight into managing complex neuromusculoskeletal conditions and reinforced her ability to look beyond symptoms to uncover root causes.
Neuroscience meets Chiropractic Training:
Her dual background in chiropractic and neuroscience sets her apart. With a Master’s in Neuroscience, Amy sees patterns others may miss, allowing her to pinpoint the neurological drivers behind pain and dysfunction. She uses this lens in combination with evidence-based techniques like dry needling—an advanced certification she holds—to reset neuromuscular communication, reduce pain, and restore mobility.
Bringing it All Together:
At Mountain Movement, Dr. Amy integrates her skillset seamlessly with the Day Method system. This combination of neurological precision, muscle reset therapy, and chiropractic adjustment creates a truly comprehensive approach to healing and performance. For patients, it means more than temporary relief—it means restoring the body’s ability to move, recover, and thrive.
Amy’s clinical experience includes a clerkship with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where she cared for veterans with complex neuromusculoskeletal conditions. She has also worked with athletes at various levels, helping them recover from injuries, enhance performance, and move with greater confidence. She is certified in dry needling and incorporates this evidence-based technique to support neuromuscular recovery, reduce pain, and improve mobility. These experiences shape her thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care.
In addition to her clinical work, Amy is an advocate for greater access to chiropractic services. She has lobbied on Capitol Hill to expand Medicare coverage for chiropractic care, reinforcing her belief that everyone deserves access to quality, holistic health support.
Known for her compassionate, approachable style, Amy builds meaningful relationships with those she serves, combining evidence-informed practice with genuine care. Whether working with athletes, veterans, or anyone on a wellness journey, she aims to help people feel connected, aligned, and empowered.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys playing volleyball and tennis, exploring the outdoors with her husband Alex, and cozying up at home with her beloved cat, Lucy.
