Corrective Exercise
Our center believes in mapping out a game plan for optimal movement and pain relief by being very detailed.
On your first visit you will receive an analysis that will chart out:
– What muscles are excessively tight or that have lost flexiblity.
– Those areas that have fascial tightness or tendon issues.
– What area of the joints of the body are limited.
– What normal range of motions are not adequate.
– What muscles are weak
– What movement “sequences” or “patterns” are not happening like they should.
This muscle and joint mapping gives way to a movement plan.
When you have specific goals alongside your doctor you get better, faster. As well we know exactly what to look for to track your improvement.
It is our job in conjunction with hands on therapy to teach you how to treat your injury with movement, foam rolling, self fascia release and muscle activation exercises. As you learn more about your body and how to do in office and at home stretches, movements and strengthening you will get better faster.
This is very different from most centers out there today. They either only rely on hands on therapy or only on exercise. By combining the two approaches we believe the patient is more likely to feel confident around an area of pain and use their injury to get stronger and more flexible than they have in years.
One on One: We offer one on one exercise instruction. Our 30 minute sessions can better teach you how to stretch, deal with chronic pain, and how to do things like foam roll with efficiency.
The Day Method Expanded visit: Our expanded visit is designed to mix hands on therapy with stretch instruction. This visit last approximately 30 minutes and incorporates all we have to offer.
The Day Method Regular visit: After the patient has a “repetoire” of stretches and a Movement Language of understanding their injury and what to do at home. Our regular 15 minute visit is a great option as it blends hands on therapy of muscle and joint balancing with a short time for “movement review”.
Corrective Exercise Classes: We offer group classes two times per month to empower the community how to move better.
See our Workshops Page for our upcoming classes.
